The beneficiary of this year’s race is ABLE Youth, a nonprofit organization that uses sports as a catalyst to motivate children ages 3-22 who use wheelchairs to become independent in life.

This event would not be possible without the nearly 130 enthusiastic Volunteers, many who Volunteer for this event year after year! THANK YOU!

And a huge shout out and thank you to our wonderful sponsors!

Old Hickory Lake Triathlon Race Recap

With nearly 200 participants, the Old Hickory Lake Triathlon on June 19 was a huge success! Thank you to race director Chris Hendon and all the volunteers and sponsors who made this race happen. We absolutely LOVE the new venue at Rockland Recreation Area. Lots of shade, space to spread out, playground for the kids, and a pavilion with a kitchen so our post race food was prepared fresh by sponsor Slim Chickens! What a FUN morning with new and old friends! HEAT, HRC and SSS showed up big time this morning by either racing, volunteering and/or spectating. Congrats to our rookies today! You are now triathletes!
